How do I choose which yacht to charter?
We will help you find a yacht that suits you. If you book early you have a choice of hundreds of yachts of all types, sail or motor in all sizes in most destinations. There is little or no risk that we will not find you the perfect yacht.
How much will it cost to charter a yacht?
We normally recommend not to charter a yacht with less than two crew. This can cost you anything from €20 000 / week and upwards. The price varies depending on size and type of yacht and the number of crew on board. Call us and we will find a yacht that suits your requirements and budget. A tip for the captain and crew is customary.
What is not included in the charter rate?
The charter rate is the price of hiring a yacht / week. Everything is included except food and beverage, fuel and dockage for those nights when you are not anchoring in a sheltered bay.
What are the VAT rates?
The VAT rates vary depending on where you start and end your charter. The rate can be anything from 0% – 25%.
For how long can I charter a yacht?
A charter normally starts on a Saturday or Sunday at 12.00 and lasts for one or two weeks but you can also charter for half a day and a year.
Which destinations are most popular?
You can go nearly anywhere in the world but most commonly people charter yachts in the Mediterranean during the summer and in the Caribbean during the winter. Popular destinations in the Med are the Cote d’Azur, Balearic Islands; Mallorca, Menorca, Formentera and Ibiza, Corsica, Sardinia, or the Greek and Turkish coasts and islands. Popular Caribbean destinations are the Virgin Islands, and the Windward and Leeward Islands.
Is it possible to charter in more remote destinations?
Due to the fact that our clients are now looking for new and exciting destinations, we also have yachts available in more remote areas of the world such as Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius, New Guinea Fiji, Solomon Islands to mention a few. We would be happy to tell you more about exploring these lesser known territories.
When is the best time to go?
You can charter a yacht all year round. During the European summer people tend to stay in the Mediterranean and during the winter, the Caribbean or other tropical and sub-tropical areas are most popular.
How do I choose food and wine?
Weeks before the charter we will ask you to specify what kind of food and beverage you would like to be served during your stay onboard. If you cannot make up your mind your chef will send you his or her suggestions for menus and a preference sheet. We will do everything possible to ensure that you and your charter guests will have an unforgettable culinary experience.
